June Hometown Market Honors Hometown Spirit! Main Street Fairmont is hosting the Second Hometown Market of the season on June 11 from 10AM to 3PM on the Firehouse side of Monroe Street! The focus of this event will be to celebrate the flag and our Hometown Spirit. Take advantage of the free downtown parking and spend an afternoon supporting local talent and businesses!

To accommodate all of the day's events, we will be moving this market to the opposite side of Monroe Street, in front of the Feast of the Seven Fishes Mural. Event Highlights:

10:00- Vendor Booths Open 10:30 - The FSU Academy of the Arts will give a sneak peek of their upcoming musical, Matilda. Don't miss the spectacular vocal arrangements! 12:00 - The Boy Scouts of America will open the Flag Day ceremony by presenting the colors and honoring the Stars and Stripes. Fairmont Rotary will also be highlighting its ongoing flag project. 1:00 - The Marion County Parks and Recreation Community Band will entertain the crowd with a variety of patriotic tunes. 3:00 Vendor Booths Close Please note, that the 5k originally scheduled for this date has been canceled. The Junk Trunk The Junk Trunk has a new location on the corner of

Merchant Street and Morgantown


Avenue, the former home of S&M Glass. Prior to their move downtown, The Junk Trunk operated a storefront in Belleview. The Junk Trunk is stocked wall to wall with antique items and vintage finds. Baseball cards, vinyl records, unique furniture, and full sets of rare ceramics line the aisles of this new shopping space. In addition to their vast inventory, The Junk Truck's new location includes prime vendor spaces inside the store. It is a must-see stop! For selling inquiries, please call 304-288-8276. Main Street Fairmont Participates in the United Way Day of Action

Tuesday, June 21, United Way will be hosting its annual Day of Action. This is a great option for anyone wanting to become more involved in their community. Projects will be happening all over town to help local businesses, organizations, and public spaces.

Volunteers from Main Street Fairmont will be participating in the Day of Action by painting our first Crosswalk on Monroe Street! To join the fun, and view all projects, please visit the United Way website, or click HERE.
