Music on Monroe

Join us for the first Hometown Market of the year featuring Music on Monroe! Live music will

fill the air while shoppers can peruse from over 40 artisans and vendors. Jewelry, apparel, books, baked goods, and handmade crafts are just a taste of what will be available. Speaking of taste, come hungry! The Glen Elk Boys will be serving up hot food out of their food truck parked on Monroe Street!


Adopt-a-Pot is OPEN!


The City of Fairmont is offering the chance for businesses in select locations to adopt their own sidewalk flower planter. Businesses on Merchant St, Fairmont Ave (to Country Club), Morgantown Ave, East Park Ave, Monroe St, and the 100 block of Cleveland Ave. are all eligible. The planters and soil will be provided by the city while the businesses are responsible for purchasing and maintaining the plants. To learn more and to apply, click HERE.


Day of Action

Main Street Fairmont is participating with the Tygart Valley United Way for another year of Day of Action! Join us on June 21 to be a part of the fun! Volunteers who participate will be invited for a free lunch at Palatine Park at 11AM. Projects begin at 12PM. All participants will receive a FREE t-shirt commemorating the day and their service to the community. Anyone interested in participating can sign up by clicking HERE. We are HIRING!

Main Street Fairmont is looking for a motivated self-starter to serve as the Program Manager. The role will help implement strategies and programs to revitalize and improve the economy of downtown Fairmont. Quilt Show!

The GSWC Women's Club of Fairmont will be hosting a Quilt Show at their headquarters located at 300 First Street in the Fleming Mansion. It is their desire that the community joins them for this special event preserving and advancing the art of quilting in our community. Demonstrations and displays will be available to all who attend. It is just a short drive or enjoyable walk from Monroe Street to help complete your day downtown. Click HERE to purchase your admission tickets. Lunch included!
